Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Furryous Deathmatch (“the game”) is a free online game about cats. Adam Frieden, an individual in Massachusetts, USA, makes and runs the game. In this policy, “we” and “us” mean Adam Frieden. This policy tells you what information the game collects, why it collects it, and what you can do about it.
The short version
- You can play without an account, and we never ask for your name.
- If you choose to save your clan, we keep your email address so that you can sign in again.
- We do not show ads. We do not sell your information. We do not track you on other websites.
- You can ask us to delete your information at any time: [email protected].
What we collect
When you play
Everyone who plays, with or without a saved account:
- A random account ID and a sign-in token. The game creates these the first time you open it. Your browser keeps the token, in its local storage or in a cookie, so the game knows that you are the same player next time. The ID is random. It does not contain your name or anything else about you.
- Your game progress. This includes your cats, toys, adventures and other game items, and a log of the game actions that you take. We use the log to keep the game fair and to find and fix problems.
- Your IP address and browser type. Our server stores these with your sign-in session. We use them to protect the game from abuse, for example to limit how many requests one address can send.
- Your game settings, such as sound and music. These stay in your browser. We do not receive them.
If you save your clan with email
- Your email address. We use it only to send you sign-in links and to connect your clan to you. We do not send marketing email.
If you sign in with Google
- When you choose to sign in with Google, Google sends us your email address, a Google account ID, and your basic profile (your name and profile picture).
- We use the email address and the Google account ID only to sign you in and to connect your clan to you. We do not use your name or your profile picture.
- We do not ask Google for access to anything else, such as your contacts, your files or your Gmail. We do not share information that we receive from Google with anyone.
- The game’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we do not do
- We do not show ads, and we do not use advertising trackers.
- We do not sell or rent your information to anyone.
- We do not use your information to track you across other websites or apps.
- We do not ask for your real name, your address, your phone number or your photo.
Services that help run the game
A small number of companies process information for us so that the game can work. Each one receives only what it needs for its job.
- Railway hosts our server and database in the United States.
- Cloudflare hosts the game’s website and carries traffic to our server. It sees your IP address.
- Resend sends our sign-in emails. It receives your email address.
- Google Fonts. Your browser downloads the game’s font from Google, so Google sees your IP address.
- Google receives your sign-in request only if you choose to sign in with Google.
We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the game and its players from fraud or abuse.
Children
The game is for a general audience. Anyone can play without giving us personal information such as an email address. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
If you are under 13, please do not give us your email address or sign in with Google. If you are a parent and you think that your child under 13 gave us an email address, contact us at [email protected]. We will delete it.
How long we keep information
- Your account and game progress: while your account exists. We may delete accounts that have not been used for a long time and that have no saved email address.
- Your IP address and browser type: until your sign-in session ends. A session ends after 90 days without play.
- Sign-in links: each link works only once and expires after one hour.
- Server logs: our host keeps them for a limited time. We use them only to find and fix problems.
Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete your information. Email [email protected] from the address on your account, or include your account details. We will answer within 30 days. When we delete your account, we delete your game progress too, and we cannot bring it back.
- Play without saving. You never have to give us an email address. If you clear your browser data before you save, you lose the clan on that device.
- Depending on where you live, for example in the European Union, the United Kingdom or California, the law can give you more rights. Contact us to use them.
Security
All traffic between your browser and the game uses HTTPS. The game has no passwords to steal: you sign in with a one-time email link or with Google. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep only what the game needs.
Where your information is stored
We store information in the United States. If you play from another country, your information goes to the United States.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will change the date at the top of this page. If a change is important, we will also tell you in the game.
